We live in a world of smartphones, smart homes and tech-ed out everything, so why not smartify our beauty regime?
If your skincare routine involves a cleanse/tone/serum/moisturise and maybe even an occasional mask, good work, but maybe it’s time to take it up a notch. New active ingredients or trendy instagram-worthy packaging will only get you so far, so why not enhance the skin (and products) you already have with the help of beauty tools?
Here are some that are definitely worth adding to your bathroom cabinet this year.
Dry brushing isn’t exactly new, in fact it’s actually an ancient practice dating back to *too long ago for me to look up*BC. It really is as simple as it sounds, you brush your body (whilst dry) in upwards motions towards the heart.
Dry brushing has a string of benefits including exfoliating the skin, stimulating the lymphatic system and even reducing cellulite.
I just started using this bad boy but I’ll be sure to check back in with my results!
Cactus Long Handle Brush – $19.00 (The Body Shop)
Clarisonic Mia 2:
I don’t think anything will ever replace the love I have for my Clarisonic Mia 2. I have friends (actually my mum but shh…) who have used the Foreo range and I don’t know what it is but I still swear by the Clarisonic.
I know you have to change the head (as opposed to the Foreo), but my skin just looks and feels amazing when I use my Clarisonic on the reg.
Clarisonic Mia 2 – $219.00 (Mecca Cosmetica)
If you’re not massaging your face every day, what the f*ck are you doing with your life? Facial massages not only FEEL amazing, but they are so damn good for you. Massaging your face with a serum or oil helps the product to absorb into your skin while helping with lymphatic drainage. TLDR: nice skin, no puffy face, looks good, thumbs up!
Oils of Life Twin Ball Facial Massager – $49.00 – (The Body Shop)
